PTFE Lined Products (eg.Ptfe valve)
All PTFE is purchased directly from global manufacturers, each batch of PTFE has its own unique number. We never mix these batches together, all our PTFE tube extrusions contain only one batch. When the polymer is mixed and extruded the batch number is recorded on the extrusion details sheet, this extrusion run number is referenced on a label applied to the PTFE tube once sintered
PTFE Testing
All our testing meets the requirements specified in ASTM F423. PTFE tubing is tested from each sintering run, tests include visual, dimensional, specific gravity and tensile tests.
All these test results are noted on the extrusion details sheet and held securely by China PTFE valve manufacturer.
Hard Stamping
As the steelwork is lined the PTFE extrusion number of the liner used is hard stamped on the steelwork so that this can be cross-referenced to the extrusion details sheet, giving full traceibility from the lined component back to the PTFE polymer batch used.
Electrostatic Testing
The PTFE lined spool is subjected to a electostatic spark test at 25kV to ensure the integrity of the liner.
Hydrostatic Testing
Blank flanges are bolted on to the spool piece and the spool subjected to a hydrostatic pressure test of 29 bar G for 3 minutes, then the pressure is reduced to atmospheric before being subjected to another 3 minute pressure test.
